Commonly referred to as Expansion Bellows or Compensators, these joints incorporate prefabricated bellows designed to absorb thermal expansions and vibrations to hold the parts together, allow movements and compensate misalignments. For thermal expansion, as the temperature of the system increases, the Expansion Joint compresses to compensate for the movement and alleviates stress from the pipe.
